Hyundai emerges as a front-runner in the auto industry
How do you sell cars in a bad economy? How do you manage to succeed during a year that everyone saying is the worst for automakers? Just ask Hyundai! Hyundai headquarters tells the used Hyundai Elantra Bloomington dealer that last month the company sold 44,023 vehicles, which was up 30 percent from last year and these figures marked the 16th consecutive month of year-over-year retail market share gains for Hyundai. How did they manage to do this you ask?
Well first you prepare for the fact that it is a bad economy and you work with your customers. Hyundai created the Hyundai Assurance Plan, which was a program that allowed customers to return a new Hyundai if they lost a job and can’t afford their new car. Second, you release a long list of new high quality cars that consumers won’t be able to resist, such as the, Sonata, Tucson, Genesis and Santa Fe. Hyundai Motor America’s Vice President of national sales, Dave Zuchowski, said, “For the second straight month, our all-new Sonata is the third-best selling mid-size car in the country in retail sales, well ahead of strong rivals such as Nissan Altima, Chevy Malibu, and Ford Fusion. We’re glad to see Sonata’s unique combination of great design and segment-leading 35 mpg fuel economy is resonating with America’s car buyers.”
Hyundai headquarters tells the Bloomington new hyundai dealer that both of those things are the reasons Hyundai has increased their market share from 4.2 percent in 2009 to 4.4 percent in the first quarter of this year. The used Hyundai Elantra Bloomington dealer believes that in the automotive industry it is a very big deal that Hyundai has gained a whole point in market share and that Hyundai is gearing up to increase their market share even more with the release of many new high quality models over the next year.
Hyundai plans to make their debut in the high end market with the release of the 2011 Equus luxury Sedan, this Fall, and in an attempt to stand out from other luxury models the Equus comes with a Apple I-pad. Also, Hyundai will release a next-generation Elantra, a smaller Accent, and a new-edition Santa Fe. With the release of these new models the Bloomington new Hyundai thinks that Hyundai is going to continue to see success and we can expect Hyundai to stay at the stop for a long time!
