The 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec has 348 hp; it goes 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds making it faster than the v6 Mustang. It is now the second most powerful 6 cylinder on the market. Despite a $2,000 increase from the previous Genesis model, it is the least expensive v6 model that Hyundai makes.

This is Hyundai brand’s version of manumatic transmission that means it operates like a normal automatic, but there is an upside. With this manumatic transmission, the driver can choose to override the natural choice that the transmission’s computer would make by shifting the lever into another gate. In one of these two gates the driver can upshift or downshift. The driver takes over the shifting decisions and for example, could refrain from up shifting in order to accelerate faster, or brake faster. The SHIFTRONIC^® technology will not let the engine stall or over-rev, however.

If you have a big family and would love to have third row seating, 290 horsepower, and four more inches of wheel base, wait just a few more months until the 7-passenger Santa Fe is released in 2013.

The soon-to-come Santa Fe will exist in three versions. It was the talk of the 2012 New York International Auto Show this spring. The almost-out Santa Fe Sport 5-passenger will have two different types of engines. On one hand you have the “Sport” with a base 2.4 liter, “theta” 190 HP engine. On the other, there is “Sport 2.0,” which has 2.0T (turbo) 2 liter engine and 264 HP. The turbo engine replaces the former V6 engine for better fuel economy, however the 7-passenger will still have a v6 engine, and will pack 290 HP. The 5-passenger will get 31 mpg in the city.

According to USA Today and AutoBlog.com, both the 5 and 7 passenger versions of the Santa Fe look much trimmer than the older version. Staying true to the Hyundai style of “Fluidic Sculpture” the new, streamlined style of the Santa Fe is coined “Storm Edge.” The non-luxury vehicle also boasts Target Vectoring Corner Control (TVCC) and Driver Selectable Steering Mode (DSSM). This DSSM means that the driver can specifically choose to brake only one of the wheels to cut a corner if need be!
